MMS
The Mitsubishi MMS-X is an advanced mobile mapping system designed for easy and accurate acquisition of 3D geospatial data. The MMS-X multi-sensor platform consists of CCD cameras, laser scanners, GPS receivers as well as IMU and odometer units.
The system performs 360º dynamic 3D mapping along the route and stores digital imagery in parallel covering the entire measuring range. Intelligent positioning algorithms deliver absolute 3D accuracy better than 0.1 m and relative accuracy better than 0.01 m, respectively.
This accuracy is sufficient to 1:500 digital mapping and all the data can be collected in one pass of the MMS-X vehicle - quick and efficient.
Further, the MMS-X has easy access to all those targets inaccessible to aerial surveys, like streets under dense canopy, underneath bridges and in tunnels, for instance.
Easier management and optimizing the life-cycle costs of traffic arteries as well as increasing the life of public infrastructure are examples of the benefits offered by this excellent technology.

Safety
All the visible objects within the measuring range are captured in one pass during the driving at normal speed among the traffic. There is no need to stop the traffic for making the measurements; traffic jams can be avoided and general safety increased.
